KNOCKNOCK is a kitchen and bath design company.
Our work is inspired by Italian design, but built by American manufacturers both locally and nationwide. It's a concept developed by Nadja Pentic, the founder.
Prior to developing KNOCKNOCK, Nadja owned and operated an Italian showroom in San Francisco for 10 years. While working with the Italian market Nadja gained a deep understanding of the European approach to home design, while also becoming aware of the challenges in servicing the American market with European products. In creating Knocknock, Nadja's goal was to combine the best of both worlds she was working in.
Her work is a unique blend of European minimalist aesthetics, American quality, and a personalized, one-on-one approach with a superior level of customer service. From the Italians she learned design, ergonomic sensibility, passion for great engineering and hardware, and responsibility to Earth. From the American market she adopted the commitment to quality, and the ability to customize and adapt.
Nadja was born in Croatia and moved to this country to attend the University of Arizona. After graduating with a Fashion Merchandising degree, she spent 11 years working in the fashion industry as a production manager, travelling the world and gaining international experience in production management and sourcing. She took these skills into her next challenge, opening an Italian kitchen showrooms in San Francisco and Lafayette. With the help of her family, Nadja ran two retail stores and managed the West
Coast retail operations for Scavolini, a major Italian kitchen manufacturer.
After 10 years of working with imported cabinetry and furniture, Nadja created Knocknock, making her vision of providing greater value to her clients through customized designs and locally built product a reality.
Nadja now operates out of a studio in Oakland and services primarily the Northern Bay Area.
Our time on this planet as we are today, is limited. Our legacies are defined by what we leave behind.
Nowhere is that legacy better expressed than by the homes we live in, by what we build.
My purpose in my work is to leave behind a legacy of homes that are more beautiful because of my touch, and the lives of the people that lived there are better because of the spaces we created together.
Providing my clients great design, quality and value by maintaining a perfect blend of European design and American quality, craftsmanship and customer service.
